Well my grandmother was talking, though slurred, when I visited her last Sunday. She had walked to the end of the hallway in both directions on Saturday. But on Sunday she barely made it halfway in one direction. They had taken her off the morphine, but for some reason she looked more drugged than the descriptions I had heard with her on it. And her stomach looked extra bloated too.
Mom called me on Monday. Her bowel movements were nothing but blood. Her blood pressure had dropped well below the point of concern. They rushed her back to ICU, which is where she remains today. They had to give her 5 units of blood, but talked as if this was a common occurrence after a major surgery. On Thursday she turned 76 years old. She is progressing, only needed 1 more additional unit of blood since she has been in ICU. Hopefully she will survive this ordeal.
As for projects, we were planning to meet with Special Topics Groups on Thursday at 6:30. Since we are meeting online as a class, we moved our group meeting to 4pm on that same day. But we have started a wiki.
